Ian D. Buckingham is the Managing Director of A&S Australia. He holds an MBA from RMIT University, a Masters (Qual.) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Applied Geology) from the Victorian Institute of Colleges and Fellowship and Associateship Diplomas in Geology. Mr. Buckingham is a Member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Commencing his career as a geologist exploring for volcanic-clastic Cu/Pb/Ag ore bodies in Australia and the Pacific Rim he moved into engineering and petroleum before establishing himself in stock brokering and investment banking. As a resource analyst, he analyzed, evaluated and developed financial models for major mining compaies. Since joining A&S he has worked on projects in the mining/base metals sector where his knowledge and expertise in areas such as due diligence, valuation, econo-technical analysis, concept and strategic development, financial modeling and general mining management have been required.
