Our clients are (a) minerals producers, for whom we do largely business consulting; (b) financial institutions for whom we do largely due diligence/valuation/assessment work; (c) both minerals producers and financial institutions for whom we do property/company asset sales and purchase work, (d) investing groups or individual investors for whom we act as mining/oil & gas industry/ business/financial advisors covering potential minerals investments both existing and potential; (e) governmental institutions for whom we do a broad variety of analytical work; and (f) equipment suppliers to - and customers of - the mining/oil & gas industry. (All our work is top management focused).
Our advantages as a resource, and reasons for existing as a firm, are that we provide solid senior-level business staff skills covering all aspects of the global mining and metal business and selective aspects of the oil & gas business which, when married with strong industry, technical and functional understanding, produce a unique work product.
Prior to taking on an assignment we learn from the potential client his objectives, concerns, desired work outputs, timetable, and relevant facts about the situation. We then utilize the relevant skills within our own organization to prepare a proposal, which includes our approach, elapsed time and costs that we send to - and discuss with - the potential client. (In some instances where discussion has defined well the project, and commercial arrangements, we prepare and submit to the potential client only a confirmation letter).
We have a strategic alliance with KPMG worldwide whose focus is the KPMG Australia Accounting Partnership which owns 4.9% of A&S' Australian Company - A&S Australia.
