PERSONNEL SERVICES
We offer four types
of personnel services:
1. Executive Search
| We follow the typical management search process which involves: | |
| - Definition of job and candidate requirements; | |
| - Identification of potential candidates; | |
| - Interview and appraisal of same; | |
| - Candidate introduction; | |
| - Final appraisal; | |
| - Negotiation assistance. | |
| What differentiates us from other consultants doing this work is our (a) network of contacts and (b) understanding of the business, both of which increase the likelihood of a successful placement. |
2. Management Appraisal
Sometimes these assignments are done independently and sometimes they
are part of an organization planning exercise.
In either case we:
| Agree with the client on the personnel to be appraised; | |
| Review the personnel data on each individual to be appraised; | |
| Establish evaluation criteria; | |
| Appraise the individual by comparing him to the evaluation criteria; | |
| Provide a report to the client. |
3. Compensation Analyses
Most of our work in this area involves determining how the client's compensation
structure compares with the structure of other companies in (a) the industry
and (b) the geographical areas where the client's operations are located as
well as general macro compensation averages. In doing this work we utilize
(a) our own databases, (b) relevant public databases and (c) the relevant
databases of one of the large personnel compensation consulting firm with
whom we work.
In addition to the above, we assist in the development of compensation concepts,
arrangements and programs for upper middle and senior management personnel.
Here we typically work with a major compensation consulting firm.
4. Executive Placement Assistance
Executive Placement Assistance is a systematic procedure funded by an
executive's employer that is designed to (1) give practical help to outplaced
key senior executives who are seeking new suitable positions, and (2) demonstrate
concern for the well-being of the outplaced senior executives with the purpose
of maintaining good will by providing meaningful additional job getting assistance.
This work is done to provide a minerals industry perspective to the executive
seeking employment outside this or her existing company. It is a service separate
from executive outplacement, whose primary focus is facilitization. Its essence
is job seeking counsel provided over the duration of the individual's job
search, but heavily oriented to the strategies and tactics of the job search
at its outset.
